"Little Kids and Their Big Dogs" is a heartwarming photography project by Andy Seliverstoff that focuses on the unbreakable bond between little children and their supersized dogs. The photographer, 58, spent four months taking thousands of pictures in St Petersburg before compiling a book from the hundred best images. Andy has been a photographer for years but he's only recently started to take it seriously. He has a particular fondness for dogs, Great Danes especially, although his canine subjects also include Briads, Newfoundlands, and Black Russian Terriers.
"I always take plenty of time with the dog who's in front of my camera so I get to know the personality of my dog model the best I can," write the photographer on his website. "The personality and the character is unique for every individual dog. The human aspects we often recognize in our dogs are, among other things, what makes us feel so close to them. And it is this aspect I try to express in my photography." You can pre-order the book here.

The first photos for the article make me think of a Hogwarts student conjuring up some fantastic magical beast.
boy: (to dog) "the snow makes everything look so scary, but I'm glad to have you with me"
"hold right there, ma'am! 👮🚔🚨" "but i'm a freaking plane!!! *making plane sounds*✈✈✈"
He's like "Stop right their little miss. I do not like you too close to me".
the composition, the colours, the perfect moment and an imaginated story - I'd rather dislike picture combining cuteness (like kids & animals), but this one made my day - kudos to the photograph!
dog: "stop right there! I know what you're up to, but I'm allergic to kids"
😂😂😂 I didn't know there were dog slobber farms! What is dog slobber used for...cosmetics?
Dog:- oooh you look good enough to eat, you gorgeous little morsel. I love you soooo much.
Child "I'm a dog", Great Dane "I'm a cute little lap dog" Dachshund "I'm the biggest damn dog here."
dog: are you sure we're going the right way? boy: trust me! I'm an explorer!
Sara you just made me laugh for the first time since my Banjo (maltese x lhaso apso) passed away new year's night. Thankyou! xxx
Load More Replies...This brought tears to my eyes. I've always been in love with big dogs and the little boy just made my heart exploed
It is. Dog is guarding the kid. No better protection and unconditional love.
Load More Replies...a naturally warm dog-shaped pillow! 'if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?'
Warning: ima ruin everyone's fun now lol* that dog is photoshopped
All these photos are beautiful, but this one raises my dander. Dogs should never be ridden (even by children)- It is very dangerous for the dog.
This makes me furious, dogs should never ever be sat on, absolutely abuse that causes spinal injuries
Poor dog! Stupid photographer!! .....and it's to infinity you dufus!!!
Load More Replies...she had to grow awhile before reaching up to hug her best friends neck
Little Pink Riding Hood and her loyal companion, on the way to grandma's house
...I will follow you..where ever you may go..there isn't an ocean to deep or a mountain so high it can keep me away......
I don't see any dogs in the first set. All I see is a kid playing with a couple of mops in the snow. I'm kidding those dogs are huge.
I LOVE the animal shots. Thank you for sharing, these always brighten my morning
The photos are truly lovely, but I always feel bad for dogs with that kind of fur whose owners refuse to trim it where it cover their eyes. Being able to see properly would immensely better their lives.
Hungarian sheepdogs NEED fur to cover their eyes. They're going to have sore eyes if you cut the fur, because those are very sensitive to dust and sunlight... of course you have to groom it and pull apart the bigger dreads but that's all.
