Here’s What Lithuanian Police Officers Did On International Women’s Day, And Women’s Reactions Say It All

Lithuanian police officers are pulling over female drivers even though they did nothing wrong. But today is probably the only day of the year when the ladies love it. Just like in the past, the cops of this tiny European country are bringing flowers to the streets to congratulate them on International Women’s Day.

Some seem surprised, some maybe even flustered, but all of them look really happy to receive a tulip instead of a ticket. The flowers are being given out to women in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, and other smaller cities all over the country.

I adore seeing all of the smiling faces, even those on the policemen! I've been lucky enough to encounter a small number of men who believe women are lower than them in my lifetime, and a gracious plenty who do appreciate that we are different yet worth the same politeness and respect as a man.

Well sadly in former Soviet countries like Lithuania, Women's Day is all about giving women flowers and none about actually empowering them. The news only tell stories about what kind of flowers were bought and nothing about women. It's more like: look women we are supposed to give you flowers to make you happy right? Take the flowers be happy and shut up😑

You guys are trying to apply something that is not there. Though I understand your thought here. This is nothing more than recognizing them as women. They could have just as well given out ribbons or something of the like. As a matter of fact. If the city had less money I am sure that is what they would have chose. Hopefully you can see my point and maybe look at it from that perspective.
