Lazy Artist Who Only Draws With A Black Pen

Hello, I’m Giokes, aka Giorgia Ruggeri. I’m an illustrator and musician based in Torino, Italy. Yes, I’m Italian and yes, I can cook perfect Italian spaghetti. This is my main talent.

I graduated from Accademia Albertina of Fine Arts in Torino and I play bass in a band called Twee which I totally love.

When I was at school I started drawing with a black pen (instead of attending math class) and then an epiphany came out. My work is focused on people and I only use a black pen to explore how lights and shadows interact on human faces. Sometimes I use collage technique and a detail jumps out (chewing gums, hands, glasses).
