After a journey through enchanted castles, evil queens, and other fairy tale moments, my glow in the dark fairytale series has reached its final painting: Sleeping Beauty.

This painting captures the moment every fairytale longs for, the prince discovering the princess in her enchanted sleep.

Yes, this prince was painted from a reference photo of Brad Pitt, couldn’t resist ;)

Creating this little series has been a journey back to the stories of being a kid, the happiness of getting lost in another world. All the paintings are colourful during the day, then they glow at night. The perfect medium to portray my fairytale characters. I’ll be back with more fairytales later and I start work on the next series Monday morning.

The magic moment when the painting is fully charged but in dim enough lighting to be able to see both colour and glow. To achieve this you’d have to fully charge the paint with a bright torch and then take the painting into a dimmer room.
