Traveling With An Underwater Camera

I´m Noustha a Dutch underwater photographer. I took my underwater camera with me while traveling through Australia for a year. On the way I organized lots of underwater photo shoots in different places.

All my models are local people who were living close by the sea. Luckily I could always find some enthusiastic people who loved to help with my photo shoots. For them it was a new experience, but they were learning very quickly.

For me there was also much to learn. I already had a lot of experience in underwater photography but every location has their own difficulties. Like unexpected bad visibility, strong currents or unpredictable weather. We were learning by trial and error.

Photoshop is only used for colour changes or other little corrections. So everything is really happening under water. Sometimes up to 10 meters deep under the ocean.

Some photo shoots were really hard to do. But it was definitely worth it!
