Im the opposite. I take a small basket to make sure I dont overbuy but they i keep remembering I that and that at home or start craving things and I overfill the basket to the point stuff could start to fall down if I fill it some more so I begin to carry items in my hands as well lol

In Japan the situation is worse because if you forget to take the trash out you have to wait to a next week with your trash bags inside your home. There are not any outdoors trashbins in many areas so you just have to leave the trash bags outside your home on the correct time before the garbage truck arrives. And if you forget the garbage truck day then it is extremely rude to just leave your trash bags outdoors waiting for the next week.

Love this. Recently spent 2 weeks in Japan and found that many of our guides had a dry sense of humor. Hipster bar we went to had small signs on tables that said "I'm interested" on one side and literally "don't hit on me" on the other.

Doesn’t “oshiri tsuneri” (hiragana on the front cover) loosely translate to “butts” or “asses”. Hah hah, would love to know what it’s about. The illustration on the front cover is hilarious- especially eve the mildly offended cat.

I'm in the UK, I'm 36 now and have been wearing glasses since I was 14. For a long while we had these which the optician would sit on your face and manually put in different lenses before asking the "...is it better with one, two, three....?" etc. whilst you looked at an actual chart taped to the opposite wall. Nowadays, a thing comes down from the ceiling which looks like a huge pair of goggles which you look through and the different lenses are electronic and the chart is a projection.

(She comes with me so I can grocery shop as I'm physically disabled).
