Identical Twin Sisters Marry Identical Twin Brothers, And Everyone Is Thinking The Same Thing Right Now

No, you’re not seeing double. Identical twin brothers Josh and Jeremy Salyers proposed to identical twin sisters Brittany and Briana Deane on the 2nd of February (or 2-2), and the couple of couples have just gotten married in a joint ceremony at the 2018 Twins Days Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. The ceremony was themed “Twice Upon a Time,” with identical twin ministers leading the way.

“It’s really been a fairy tale come true. Marrying twins is something that’s very important to us,” Briana (who married Jeremy) toldPEOPLE. She even called the ceremony a ‘double fairy tale.’ “Even when we were little girls I can remember being in kindergarten, knowing that that is what we saw for ourselves.”

Brittany added: “We knew that the chances were incredibly scarce. The stars had to align for our dreams to come true. I get to marry the man of my dreams and at the same time I get to look over next to me and see my twin sister marrying the man of her dreams.”

The brides wore matching dresses while the grooms rocked identical tuxedos. The foursome first met last year at the same festival. Brittany and Briana had been attending it for years, and met Josh and Jeremy on the final day of the 2017 twin gathering. It was their first one.

“I remember vividly the first time Brittany and I saw Josh, and Jeremy at the twins festival,” Briana said. “I also remember the first time we all spoke the last night of the festival. It’s sort of like everything was in slow motion.”

“If they couldn’t find identical twin girls that matched up well with them, they were never getting married,” Brittany said. “I think that they experienced a lot of the same challenges dating what we call singletons, that means non-twins. It’s hard when you’re dating someone and they don’t understand the twin bond.”

If that’s not enough, the gang also plan to all live in the same house where they would raise their children together.

Twins are still different personalities so to make the twin aspect the most important one for marriage really seems strange to me. What if one couple falls out of love? I also find it creepy as others have said. Fortunately each set of twins has sufficient facial differences that they can be told apart.

As someone whose parents were a twin and a singleton I can tell you that my mom spent her life struggling to balance what were for her equally strong bonds (her sister never married and my dad always felt/was treated like an intruder). It may sound creepy from the outside, but I think it makes sense for twins to look for partners who share/understand that bond.

Hm, well with both sets of twins wanting to marry twins I was thinking ok, that seems a little strange to emphasize that so much but such things happen and that's cool they both found guys they love who are twins.. but then living together in the same house? That seems weird to me. I could see being neighbors, frequent visits etc. But it feels like they're trying so hard to actually be the same person/couple. I understand they have a close bond of course, but I think they should be ok with being an individual too!

I read in a different article that the sisters consider themselves "two halves of a whole." So there you go, they really don't even think of themselves as individuals. Doesn't seem healthy!

Most don't - Personally I have known 5 sets of twins and they didn't dress alike. By choice or by accident. TV programme backed it up that most just want to be their own person and the greater percentage (can't remember exactly the amount) didn't enjoy being a twin.

Nope. They met and fell in love with the idea of marrying twins. They have made themselves into the same person, unable to function without the other. That is some seriously messed up codependency.

Sounds like they have every intention of this being polyamory. I mean, maybe not, but it sure sounds like it. I hope it works out for them, I do, but on the other hand I can't help but think what's going to happen if their personalities and appearances diverge over time. What if one of them cheats? What if one of them lets themselves go and one of the partners is not okay with that? What if someone develops a serious illness or even dies? Are those legal contracts saying Briana and Josh are married, and Jeremy and Brittany are married (or the other way, I don't think the article actually specifies) going to get brought up and an ugly court battle ensues? I mean, I guess any polyamory cluster has similar issues, but yeah, that's where my mind goes. Still - maybe it really will be a fairy-tale life for all of them.

They are in fact identical twins. Doesn't mean that they can't be told apart and these twins do have differences that are obvious. Identical only means one ovum split into two embryos.

Thanks to Erica raven because He is great. He has done so much for me. A few months ago my wife left me for another man. I was so depressed I was even admitted in hospital. Then for some reason I was searching for divorce lawyers and to my surprise I ended up on the Erica website (www.ericaraventemple.webs.com). I started reading his works and testimonies and I was so encouraged to fight for my marriage through his power and work. There were times were I lost hope, thinking of giving up but He reminds me to never lose hope. Isaiah 41:10. Today I can say my marriage has been restored. We happy and playing every day and she is happier than before. if you are having such or any kind of problem, you can also contact Erica magic temple on his email emagicp101@gmail.com
