As I live in Romania, a country which has a border with Ukraine, I grew up hearing from my parents stories about what happened in Chernobyl in April 1986. At that moment, whole Europe was in panic due to the nuclear incident which took place.

All my life I have been watching documentaries, read theories about this place and saw pictures about how this city looks like as time is passing over it. As the years flew, I wished more and more to have the opportunity to go there and to see with my own eyes how that place feels.

While making the pictures here, all the time I had the feeling that I can see in front of my eyes how the people left their homes and lives behind. Some people wrote on their houses messages saying that they will never forget the dreams they had there. And these images strengthen me the feeling that I can see what happened.

The fact is that in just a few days 48.000 people have been evacuated from their homes after the nuclear incident took place.

Next, I let you see also the stories from Chernobyl.
