When our family pet, Mustang, came into our lives, I decided I will do family photos of him and my daughter - Aayat. This ambitious photoshoot almost led to a divorce.
I asked my husband to assist me with my family portraits, and it was worse than asking him to help me practice my driving. He just kept coming in between of that beautiful photo to give instructions to my daughter. For some reason, he thought he was helping me.
I almost missed my shot every single time... but then I got these gems out of my photoshoot ideas too. Never again will I assign the assistant's job to my husband, though.

Just my two cents: I don't think you should mention the almost-divorce in relation to these beautiful pictures. Is it just a cheap way to get the attention of the lowest common denominator out there (the lovers of mere gossip)? Who the hell cares?! The pictures are very attention grabbing without any backstory, especially a negative one. You are a mega talented photographer.

"Almost led to a divorce" is the unnecessarily harsh thing to say to someone who tried to help.

These are phenomenal shots and the lighting is gorgeous! As for the divorce comment, it was obviously a joke that did not translate well for some people in written form. lol

I think the point was that she was the she was trying to get her child and dog photographed being natural and not posed. And I'm sure she was being light hearted when she said never again about her husband. Get past the negative comments and look at those stunning photos.

Oh how funny, your stories do make me chuckle!!! What a lovely relationship you have captured between the two kids. And instead of divorce, hubby can get payment in kind since you nailed all of these images with his assistance loooooooool !!! ;)

Your works were very beautiful, sweet and refreshing. It's sad to think that such a cute project had such a tense situation underneath. I personally think that an almost divorce is a bit extreme, but not knowing everything I cannot really comment. However, The saying, "More than one chef in the kitchen is too many." Is often true, at least it is when the 2 'chefs' aren't on par with the recipe. My husband used to help me with my photography projects quite a bit when I could still do projects. We didn't always meet eye to eye on everything, but we had to respect each other when we did have differing opinions, talk it out and come to a compromise when it came to doing so. Communication is key for even paid assistants, we just sometimes forget to talk it out when it's a loved one. Anyway, I hope you were able to resolve all the issues that came up during the project and continue to do more in the future! Good Luck!

I don't think these pictures were remotely good enough to mention divorcing the guy who cared enough to try and help you , and if you did try and divorce him he'd surely win custody of your daughter on just two principles alone , first one being that the divorce is happening do to (ok) pictures . that doesn't look good on your person and the second reason being you have a dog you think is your son that you named "mustang" . that's like saying (this is my human son dog named horse) plus I'm sure the child isn't getting a say on whether or not they wanted to wait around for all these shots that had to perfect!! plus she looks pretty run down tired in most these pictures so I'm sure that I am correct
