At the age of 13, I was traveling all over Denmark, to photograph horses with their humans. Of course, it was because of my own love for horses, that I combined this with taking photos.
I myself have never spent much time in the saddle. It’s mostly been from the ground, just being around these magnificent animals, and so I came to appreciate – and acknowledge – the subtle bond that’s formed between two species.
It has never interested me how high the animal could jump, how many ribbons he had won or what color he wore. What interested me was more than you could see by eye. It’s what you feel whenever you’re in their company.
So I thought I would share this small collection of horses and their humans. I hope you enjoy!
