Throughout the past year, I created a visual diary of 365 icons (with a bonus for leap day). Since each one was made based upon the events of that day, it required waiting to see what that day would hold, rather than batching and working ahead.
This side project came about after continuously crushing on the work of great iconographers and wishing my own abilities paralleled. It was my attempt to turn that wish into something a bit more productive
On average it took about 2 hours a day to make each one—equating to roughly 1/12 of my year.
