After running into hundreds of people playing the game in Central Park late at night, I got inspired to make this short documentary about the Pokemon Go community at 59th Street and 5th Avenue. There was something about how the phones illuminated their faces in the dark. I filmed in August, 2016, about a month after the game’s release.
