I started my toothpick city in 1983. Currently the city is over

425,000 toothpicks, and I’m working on a new section now

that will bring the total count to over half a million. There are

many detailed cobblestone walkways, tunnels, rocks,

seawalls, and unusual windows throughout my tiny

metropolis. No molds or forms of any kind were used in the

creative process, it’s all just toothpicks and glue. The initial

inspiration for “Bob’s Toothpick City” starts with my birth

country, Italy, with all the beautiful homes, buildings and

structures along the Amalfi Coast. Also, my love for building

tree forts as a kid, and a visit to see toothpick art at a Ripley’s

museum laid the groundwork for my crazy obsession. I hope

everyone will enjoy these photos showing the detail I’ve put Into my creation for almost four decades.
