Since moving to Edinburgh I’ve fallen in love with sea pottery and sea glass. It’s everywhere along the Firth of Forth. Each find is so interesting and I can spend hours researching where/what each piece is. They are little fragments of history! I especially love marked written pieces so I can date them. The oldest I’ve found is an 1880 bone China piece.

I’ve always wanted to do something creative with my finds, give them a new lease of life and ultimately recycle! I eventually got back into an old hobby of mine: watercolour painting. Combining the two hobbies was so easy! And so with a few licks of paints I made my finds “Fansea”. I hope you love them as much as I do!
