I Did A Fairytale Themed Photoshoot For My Daughter’s 2nd Birthday And The Results Will Melt Your Heart

When I first got into photography 4 years ago I only had my 2 boys to take photos of. I started with the sole purpose of capturing amazing images of our children and their childhood as they grew up.

I was ecstatic when I found out we were going to have a little girl. The boys are great to take photos of but I like variety. :)

I’ve done everything from her newborn photos to her 1st birthday photos and everything in between from then to now.

For her 2nd birthday, I wanted to do something extra special. So I planned out a fairytale photoshoot for her.

I got her this beautiful dress several months ago in the hopes that it would fit her by her 2nd birthday. It fit perfectly and she LOVES it!

We walked a half mile to get to our location. A beautiful and mystical pine forest.

Once we got there we began, and captured some of the most precious images I have ever taken!

It maybe only took 15 minutes to capture all of the images we wanted. Then we just goofed off for a bit! :)

And then headed back down the path.

But we couldn’t stop there. We pulled off the road on the way home and captured one last image!

The next day I showed her some of the edited images and her face lit up with delight as she stared at the images. But then she said “butterflies are gone. Where is butterflies?”. And for the last couple of days she has been walking around the house calling, BUTTERFLIES, WHERE ARE YOU? XD But that’s not the end of this adventure. We had to do her special photo shoot about a week before her birthday because her little sister is going to be born any day now, perhaps on her birthday! I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER LITTLE MODEL SOON!!! :D
