No country in the world has achieved true gender equality when it comes to unpaid domestic and care labor. While some men are finally waking up, others remain completely oblivious to their own incompetence.

One shocking example is a grown man whose wife spends hours each month doing meal prep on her own — cooking and freezing dinner for the next 30 days. But even she reached her breaking point one day when her husband gave away half the food. When she demanded he fix the mistake, her in-laws called her “petty.” Now, she’s turned to the internet to ask if she really is.

Read on to see how netizens reacted to this story of a man who’s probably never even used a stove.

"Your husband is a gem for helping his sister" This is infuriating! The husband did NOT help his sister, he made his wife help his sister without her consent. The husband did NOTHING. Just like the baby's father either does NOTHING or the husband didn't even think to tell the baby's father to handle the cooking at least while the baby was so new.

I understand why she was upset after all her hard work prepping the meals, but I thought it was a really nice gesture giving them to his sister. I also think she needs to make her husband do some of the work he is definitely getting away with not pulling his weight.

Hubby can make such grand gestures with stuff HE has made or paid for, not stuff that his wife made during an ENTIRE DAY cooking—-one of her two days off that week as well! While he di what? Sat around watching the game? Went to the gym? Hung out with his bros? From now on he will be IN the kitchen ACTUALLY HELPING her cook, or she’s ending him back to his mommy.

He said he gave away a bunch of the meals and she said it was sweet. So how much is 'a bunch' to her? How many was too many?

Two weeks’ worth of meals is absolutely too many, and it in theory means she hasta go through all the 🐂💩 (time, money, work) all over again. He did absolutely NOTHING to help his sister; he took advantage of his wife’s effort and then whined to his mommy when she became angry while he basks in what a good brother he is.
