Guy Goes Viral By Creating Outfits For Various Historical Times, Even For The Future (34 Pics)
The very idea of time travel has long captivated people's imaginations. Who among us wouldn’t want to go back in time and see what, for example, Napoleon Bonaparte or Julius Caesar really looked like? Or fast forward a year (and then bet all your money on the future Super Bowl winner...) Pretty darn tempting, isn't it?
However, you need to travel through time secretly, without giving yourself away - which means it will be incredibly important to choose the proper costume for the chosen era. Wisdom Kaye, a famous model and influencer, does just that in his viral series of videos on TikTok, and we present to your attention an impressive selection of his historic outfits.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT HAMILTON VIBES FRFR
Let's make it clear right away, Wisdom Kaye is not a fashion historian, but a model, whom Vogue aptly called the "best dressed guy on TikTok" a few years ago. Well, perhaps these outfits may not seem so historically consistent to some of you, but in any case, they are very colorful, impressive and reflect the specifics of each era chosen by the original poster.
I love spinning yarn by hand (no not on the spinning wheel. With various methods involving sticks and stones). Do you know how long it takes to make fine yarn of the size of a handkerchief (if woven), let alone this Big Wave of cloth?? He wouldhave been the emperor of the king of the chief of everything to wear this size. (And don't get me started on the colouring 😂)
Or that velvet didn't exist until the medieval era. But...it's still a pretty cool costume. (If not at all historically accurate.)
Load More Replies...Ah, yes, the garments woven by Sir Nike, the finest weaver in the land :) Jokes aside, nice outfits!
Yes, some elements of the author’s images look like obvious anachronisms (for example, these stylish sunglasses for the year 1700 outfit), but all these costumes really look very nice, and Wisdom Kaye can now easily claim the unofficial title of “best dressed guy of any era.” Although, if you look at the costumes that the author predicts for the next centuries, they look, in my opinion, a tad bit overly eclectic.
Oh, I remember this look.... any number of male singers (esp groups) dressed like this
I like it, but sadly the footwear is not appropriate for running away from the killer drones.
Love this one. Would totally wear it now. lol well... maybe not the boots cause I would break my neck.....
I would switch 1996 and 1991 around. This look is more coming off the 80s, like the early 90s were.
And what personally has always touched me about people who seriously dream of going back in time is their absolutely concrete confidence that, having found themselves a couple of centuries ago, they will be among, let’s say, the powers that be. The 18th century, in the perception of these people, looks like a whole series of romantic balls and love affairs (yeah, tell that to all the victims of the guillotine during the Great French Revolution), the Middle Ages are tough knights and nothing more, ancient times are wise philosophers talking about the eternal...
Stop! And who can actually guarantee that our brave time travelers will not turn out to be ordinary peasants or workers somewhere in countless copper mines of the past? Moreover, such a probability is much greater (if, of course, the very word “probability” per se is at all applicable to such a concept as time travel)! So the outfits from this collection are simply beautiful, but nothing more than stylish.
Super long *skinny* scarf. There were also the large square scarves draped around the neck.
Load More Replies...Probably because you can still find similar stuff all over the place 😘
Load More Replies...The scarf is too small. Think Lenny Kravitz and his throw blanket scarf.
This outfit looks not too tight, not too wide and looks as if one could spend a veeeery long working day in it without the need to get rid of it. Classy, IMHO.
why does it give jurassic park vibes?? Is it just me and my last braincell?
Be that as it may, perhaps some travelers from the distant future (when the time machine has long been invented) are already among us, and are reading this collection, smiling slightly to themselves. If so, then please write to me in private messages who won Superbowl LIX in 2025 and with what score (I really need this, just believe me!) and the rest - just scroll this list to the end and please leave your comments here and below the post.
But again: no hat. Practically indecent. (But I loooove the outfit of this time, at least the men's)
From "The Time Machine", set in the late 1800's: Alexander: (pointing to the masses all in bowler hats) Look at them, all alike, everyone just....identical. Philby: I would hope my students emerge with [critical thinking skills]. Alexander: I don't [wait]. I want them to run along this street and knock off every bowler they see!!
Load More Replies...It's funny how everyone assumes we'll wear shiny Mylar in the future.
It looks like 2099 from 1999. All so shiny and transparent!
Load More Replies...I predict no plastic in future clothing. I think we will begint I realize how deadly it is
That’s exactly what I was thinking. It will be all linen, cotton, maybe wool. I don’t know if it will happen in our lifetime, but maybe in future generations when I imagine they discover how many diseases are actually caused by microplastics in our bodies.
Load More Replies...Note to self start collecting shower curtains for use in future jackets.
I should hope that we'd have stopped using plastics by then. And the outfit is just more plastic polymer, spray painted with "silver sheen 101".
We all tried to forget about them. I tried to forget about them while they were happening.
Load More Replies...I didn’t see anyone start wearing these until the late 90s.
Load More Replies...yeah. sorry. I'm not buying the so-called future garb. People are going to be thread-bare, starving, and hot.... or so I'm told by the time travelers. more mad max-ish
My first thought was those jeans are too dark
Load More Replies...100% would be sandals. Very sheek look for the year. What style!
Load More Replies...A "Schamkapsel" (codpiece) would highlight the outfit. (As it did back then ❤️🔥👀🤯🥵)
The shoes look like Docs, which became popular in the 80's punk scene. Not so sure on the bandana though.
Load More Replies...It's a midwest Miami Vice vibe from 1990. And yes, I do remember outfits like this.
No need: if he's rich enough to wear that, he has servants follow him around and carry his stuff FOR him!
Load More Replies...Maybe from covid lockdown when no one could see your fancy shoe-belts on zoom?
Missed opportunity - should be wearing a blue mask over his mouth and nose
Ugh, I'd almost be willing to get TikTok just to follow this guy, I love his sense of style
I don't think we are going mylar and plastic in the future. All that looks too complicated. I think we will be going back to robes and togas. People can't even get out of their PJ's to leave their homes anymore.
Prnce with a hinge of Lenny Kravitz in the 70's pics
Load More Replies...As an amateur fashion historian, but with a focus on women's wear, not men's, these are surprisingly accurate and well done. Not perfect, but he did an excellent job and his style is just great. Kudos to you, sir.
We have to upvote and downvote these pictures so we can get them in time line order from oldest to newest.
Looks like he had a lot of fun putting this together. I'm glad a lot of people are seeing it. I'm not once did his pants drop underneath his underpants
