The Euphoria craze is everywhere and if you haven’t watched an episode of this HBO award-winning show, chances are you’ve been on the moon. Produced by Drake, Euphoria is to Gen Z what Skins once was to millennials, proving that high school drama, especially a good one, is time-defying.
Speaking of teen drama, a Twitter user with the handle @WrittenbyHanna has shared a viral thread on the platform. She asked people “What’s the high school scandal y’all would’ve turned into a school play?” and it really hit a soft spot for many.
So drawing from their own experiences, people shared some of the craziest memories they have from their high school. And that’s some rad entertainment you wouldn’t expect from people like me and you. Turns out truth is stranger than fiction!

“As children grow up, they slowly start the process of separation from the protection of their parents,” Susan Petang, a certified stress management and life coach from The Quiet Zone Coaching, told Bored Panda in a previous interview about the challenges of adolescence.
"It starts with the 'Terrible Twos.' Toddlers begin to recognize that they are an individual separate from their caregivers, and start experimenting and exploring. As they grow, there are other times when they move further from the protection of the family 'nest.' It's totally normal, and necessary for them to learn how to function independently,” she explained.
“There's a fine line between letting our kids learn from their own mistakes and keeping them safe, though,” Susan said and added that while a teen is learning to interact socially, their moodiness can be hard to take. It’s how a lot of the tension between teens and their parents originates, she argued.
The life coach explained that teenagers have a lot of physical and emotional issues all going on at the same time that are confusing and hard to manage. “There are a few reasons for this: There are the emotional challenges of dealing with hormones. They don't have the social skills yet to communicate what they're feeling. Teens don't have the world experience to know and understand their complex emotions. Let's add the fact that their brains aren't yet fully developed (and won't be until their late 20s),” Susan explained and added “It's a recipe for rollercoaster emotions.”

How awful! Bet the kid feels terrible too! What a pathetic excuse for a parent!
It’s not easy to deal with any teenager, but special hardship goes to parents whose kids are rebelling against them. “The best advice I can give parents is to listen to their teens, and have compassion for what they're experiencing. Remember what it was like when you were that age!
Start with reflective listening. 'It sounds like you're upset,' 'It feels like you think my decision is unfair,' or, 'It looks like you didn't understand what I meant.'”Susan reminds parents that it’s very important for them to stay calm and have a solution-oriented attitude; solve the problem and don't cast blame.

This is bullying to the extreme. How could this get that far to nearly get that poor kid expelled, especially when it was a teachers list?
“It's important that teens get some freedom to make mistakes and learn how to navigate the world, so allow them to have control over decisions that aren't critical. Pick your battles—insist on compliance when their safety is at stake. (How they dress, for example, isn't as important as avoiding drugs and alcohol),” she explained.
When rebelling teens make a mistake or act out, Susan's advice is to use this XYZ statement: “When you do X, I feel Y, and I'd like Z. Here's an example: 'When you stay out past your curfew without calling, I worry about your safety. I'd like you to let me know when you'll be late.' Make sure to compromise. For example, when my 14-year-old daughter wanted to go to a concert in NYC with her friends, I would only allow it if I knew how she was getting there, how she was getting home, who would be there with them (an adult!), and that she would check in with me every hour via text,” the life coach concluded.

A lesbian couple in our All Girls Catholic School got suspended for "bringing the image of our school down with inappropriate behaviour." How did they do this? They took a photo of themselves kissing each other outside of the school gates... on a Saturday, and posted it on Instagram.

Not exactly scandalous, but the talk of the school non the less. One biology teacher had a bunch of animals in his classroom. One of which was a rather large constrictor snake named Squeeze. He was probably 6 ft (2 meters) long. One year during summer school Squeeze was stolen, or so everyone thought. Several months later a snake skin was found in a cabinet of the chemistry classroom. Said chemistry teacher was terrified of snakes, she blamed another science teacher who was a know prankster. Prankster teacher denied all knowledge, Chemistry teacher refused to teach in the chemistry lab anymore and moved all her classes to an outdoor trailer. A search for squeeze was resumed. A week or so later Squeeze was found in a crawl space above the ceiling with evidence of a healed cut but otherwise fat and happy. He was returned to his habitat in the bio classroom with a new lock, and students were admonished to not leave food lying around causing a mice problem

A girl brought her dad's handgun to school and wanted to shoot a bunch of people and her boyfriend, but she got caught by the cops. A guy came into school and attacked 5 people including a year 9 (12-13 years old) girl with a chain on his fist because he was angry at his his girlfriend. A girl with gang connections for some reason showed me a bag on crystal meth in her school bag. I didn't say anything, heck I got jumped by 3 gang kids (I got away fine) because I accidentally flicked like 2 drops on a gang kid while washing my hands, so I ain't saying s**t about crystal meth. Some kids blew up one of the toilets with a firework, ripped another out put it on top of another toilet and pissed in it, and burnt off all of the toilet paper holders on half the stalls. My mate went to the toilet and ended up being beside two year 10's (13 - 14 yrs old) having sex. And a dude showed up to the last day of class in year 10 drunk and vomited in the bush beside the door. There are a couple others.

When I started high school there was a pervert drama teacher. Would give girls cuddles, stare at boobs, make comments about "doing up another button" and would ask girls to stay after class. (I had big jubblies but also a face and chest full of acne - which I've never been so thankful for). He got caught and fired. 1/2 years later I moved schools only to hear the rumours about the pervert drama teacher. Turns out he was working at and fired from my new school too - they were in the same town... I hope he got struck off.

Not a scandal but for a year our school was considered cursed and a couple of students transferred out because over the span of about 7-8 months 5 students and 1 teacher died. All the deaths were unrelated [1 murder, 2 illnesses and 3 accidents if memory serves] but people were paranoid.

We had a young, upbeat, male social studies teacher who was pretty open about his Christianity. Two girls decided to accuse him of inappropriate behavior and he lost his job. It came out later that the girls had lied because they were annoyed that he was a 'Jesus Freak'.

Not much a scandal but it was funny. I went to a Catholic secondary school and you went down a particular flight of stairs, there’s an alcove overhead with a statue of Mary with her hands folded in prayer. One day, a few students, including myself, noticed someone had managed to fling a bright red thong so it landed on her hands :D never did find out who it was.

The assistant groundskeeper at my school committed suicide by hanging himself from the rafters of the tool shed. It was my PE class who discovered the body.

At my old school, our biggest one was that some girls went on a weekend trip and got drunk, then hit a guy on their way home, leaving him in critical condition. Same weekend, a popular football player got into a fight with his (supposedly) pregnant girlfriend and bit part of her ear off. At my current school, we got put on lockdown for someone bringing a gun to school and then a few weeks later we got put on lockdown again while the police came in a searched everyone for drugs.

1. When I was a junior, a sophomore girl was having an affair with band teacher . This was in the early 80s. Saw on news about 10 years ago same guy, teacher, was arrested for molesting a neighboring, about 9 ot 20 y/o. 2. Drivers ed was a for credit class back in the 80s. My drivers ed teacher got busted for drunk driving about 5-10 yrs after he taught my class. 3. I took only one year of German because the teacher was creepy. Did some mildly bizarre things in school, like catching flies, putting them in clear plastic box to suffocate & storing box on his desk. Well, a few years after I graduated I read about him getting arrested for molesting / fondling an underage boy in a park. Back in the day, they apparently didn't do much in the way of background checks

In my very extremely religious highschool there were rumors of a teacher getting it on with a student. The next schoolyear (next semester for US people) not 1 but 3 teachers were suddenly gone. All having fathered babies with their students (ages 16 to 19). Not even young and/or handsome teachers. They were old farts, all 3 of them and no lookers either. I can only imagine whatever else was going on that nobody really knew about. Nobody called police, cps or anyone, because god has a plan and god will forgive anything anyway. (this is just rumours, I never verified, but the one that got the 19 year old pregnant -so technically not illegal- supposedly came back after summer break and went on to teach for 6 more years in the same school)

The body guards of a kid where scared because they saw a suspicious group of motorcycles near our school. So they shot to the air to scare them away. Of course all the parents heard about this so the school had to ban all the bodyguards...

My high school is still new (in comparison to every other building in my small town), it was already 10 years old by the time I started my first year. The very first graduating class set the bar high in terms of pranks. Cows on the roof anyone? Nope. Not just cows. They included chickens, pigs and an entire John Deer tractor. The fact that they managed to get them on the roof is completely forgotten by the fact that the nearest farm was over 300km away. They are also the reason why security cameras were installed over the summer. My dad is the one who became a legend for a while in our towns other high school. Ever heard of the band trooper? They came to visit many years ago and my dad was caught vandalizing their tour bus. To this day he's still proud of it.

I started a rumor that my brother's girlfriend was pregnant . Joke was on me ... I got my first of five nephews that summer . He's almost 30 now ! I was a cheerleader and had three teachers that would regularly hit on me and corner me in mostly empty classrooms. Driving home from our school's state championship win for the lacrosse team , I flipped my car four times in front of the buses full of kids heading back home . I got out of my car freaking out and everyone was yelling out the windows laughing at me :) Yep, I never lived that down

There were rumors of my classmate and our teacher having a relationship when I was in highschool, 2nd year. The female teacher kept crying in class one day and it soon became a scandal when the entire university found out she was pregnant with his child. He wasn't a minor I think because they ended up getting married, she kept her job and last time I saw them years back they were still married and have 3 kids. Also one of my highschool classmates (minor at 16) was working as a high class escort and her parents found out because she almost died from gonorrhea related complications. So much drama those years, Euphoria is nothing!
