Why not?

#1

When my mom died (cancer, flu and pneumonia) and I went through her notebooks and found a suicide note and a bunch of letters addressed to me about how much I disappointed her. It’s been a couple years since then and I finally got into her Facebook account a few months ago. The messages (I know, I shouldn’t have read them) were much the same as her letters except for the ones to men. If I didn’t like to read I’d be blind from ripping my own eyes out of my face. That’s what happens when you look at sh*t that doesn’t belong to you.

When my mother died (cancer) we found a large number of notebooks and letters. My wife wanted to read them all. I wouldn't let her. I told her that we might find something that need more explaining or we might have questions that can now never be answered.

Sorry for your loss. It's weird losing a mom. The feeling is indescribable. Like losing a limb you didn't know you had or even needed so much. You were right not to read those. I wish I'd just tossed them. My mom wrote a lot of poetry and stories so I wasn't allowed to have anything of hers. I did it anyway in the hopes of having something to hold on to and cherish. Now I have that. I still read those notebooks a lot.

On the internet. Sometimes I stumble down the rabbit hole of freaky ways people died and I got infinitely scared. Whoops.

Not me, but my best friend. It wasn't really snooping, but she was looking for her curling iron her mom borrowed. She was home alone and couldn't ask her mom where it was, so she looked through bathroom and closet drawers, etc... She opens one and finds a d!ld0.
