Welcome, ladies, gentlemen, and those who decide other! Below, please present your favorite musical (you can add an excerpt to convince people to see it.) If you have a musical of your own, feel free to add it, along with an excerpt (if you feel comfortable). Enjoy!

Such a difficult question! I love "The Music Man," and am always surprised to see it left out of "top musicals" lists. And "Hello, Dolly!" for Michael Kidd's choreography. Sondheim's "A Little Night Music" is a wonderful paean to the waltz. Also "Company" by Sondheim. "Chicago" gets an ovation from me everytime I watch it. I guess all of them are my favorite. I DO NOT COUNT Disney's musical animations as musicals, sorry. I enjoy them, but they're not what I think of when someone says "musicals."
I have to agree with you about Disney. Also, Music Man is AWESOME
Can't figure for the life of me why it never makes the "top" lists.

Did you know that Gene Kelly had a fever when he shot that iconic title number?
