This is a park that didn't even exist 20 years ago. The city bought the four square blocks of homes because they constantly flooded and could not be maintained. There's an underground river directly underneath. ... There are four baseball diamonds that are used all summer, a kid's playground that I would have loved when I was little, and some areas that are planted to native shortgrass Prairie. We had a free roam praying mantis in out home we named autumn. Since there were no males all her egg sacs were underutilized and so we didn't have to worry about thousands of kids. She lived to be about 6 years old

Susan - I had a Samoyed long ago and just wanted to pass on that people who knit or do fibre art will pay decent money for this fur! I used to brush my dog 2x a day, and as you know they shed 4 dog's worth of hair in a week. One lady knit me a scarf in return for the fur, and the downside is it smells like wet dog when it gets wet. BUT! When cleaned, combed, carded and delt with by a pro, this makes gorgeous yarn. At least enough to keep Doggo in treats and lattes
