1, 3, 20, don't care, mention as many as you want!! Best peformance, best artist, best time had, whatever!! But remember, music is a personal choice, don't downvote someone cause you don't like their choice! Doesn't matter if it's Napalm Death or the Wiggles, it's all relevant, ok?

OK, number 1: INDIGO GIRLS.... My ex girlfriend/ best friend went to see them in the late 90s... One of the happiest nights of my life, just cuddling her, watching the band... And when I looked around, it was like everyone in the crowd was doing the same.... It was like a spell was cast over the entire crowd, truly magical...
Number 2: THE DAMNED... Late 90s reunion tour with Patricia Morrison ( sisters of mercy) on bass.... OMG!!! Patricia Morrison and Dave Vanian on stage at the same time!!! The king and queen of Goth, the sexiest couple on the planet!!! What a night!!! Awesome!!
Number 3: DAVID BOWIE!!! 1983... Mindblowing!!!!

Bet The Damned were amazing - ashamed to say I've not seen them. I saw The Sisters on the Floodland tour back in 87 - at the he height of their fame. They were spellbinding. Missed out on seeing Bowie on the 83 Serious Moonlight tour as I was 13 and my folks wouldn't let me go with my older male friends. I was told he spent most of the gig sat in a director's chair in stage singing because of a bad back. Still gutted I missed it though.

I'd have to list too many if it was just about "the best", so I'll go for the most surprising ones:

DAF (M'era Luna Festival 2014)

The main stage headliner was Marilyn Manson that year while DAF performed at the same time on the second stage (in a hangar). Of course Manson is way better known, so only a few hundred people went to see DAF. It was glorious! There was so much space to dance like crazy and everyone did. The atmosphere was incredible!!!

David Bowie (Hurricane Festival 2004)

I've never been that big of a Bowie Fan and had mainly visited that festival to see The Cure, but I felt somehow compelled to see David Bowie as well, just for having the chance at all. It was a great concert, and I'd never have guessed I could be drawn into his music the way I was while seeing him in person. This was also the concert where he suffered a heart attack shortly after and had to have surgery. It was later said that he had suffered from chest pain the whole time he was performing. Unbelievable.

Anne Clark (many times)

I love Anne Clark very, very much and her concerts are always a surprise, because she collaborates with different artists, so her songs sound different depending on her respective partner as they do remixes. At concerts, I usually prefer songs to be as close to the recorded version as possible, but Anne Clark can do with her songs whatever she wants, every new version she comes up with is amazing!

There are several. Feeling a bit of decision paralysis about which ones to mention! (It's great I'm allowed to say more than 3 but I feel I should restrict myself a bit, so here goes...)

I really enjoyed when Black Sabbath reunited for a tour for their album "13" (I saw them twice then). They were really energetic, great to see, great selection of songs (classics and that album).
(I had also seen them in 2007 when they reunited with Dio as the singer, touring as "Heaven and Hell" - glad I did, as Dio passed away a few years later.)

Depeche Mode is a band I've seen a few times, and they’re super popular of course, so they usually play in huge stadiums... But I was lucky to see them at a festival (Basque Country/Spain) a few years ago where I was so close to the stage, Dave Gahan could've spit on me as he stood at the front! Can't say objectively that it was their best concert ever (probably not), it's just so special for me personally, it can't get any better.

Opeth in Essen, Germany in 2010 was very special. For the band's 20th anniversary, they played a whole set plus the entire length of their classic album, Blackwater Park (one of my all time favourites)!

Honorable mention to The Cure whom I saw just last week! It was awesome of course. (Best concert in my mind right now, but probably because it's so recent)
