There are a lot of moments in history where people do something to humiliate or piss off their friends/enemies.
So anyway, any moments that are your favorite?

For example, in 1970, a town in West Virginia called Vulcan requested the state government to rebuild their bridge and the government said no. So they asked the Soviet Union instead and the state government immediately granted the money to rebuild the bridge. That was a "F*** you" from the town to the state government.
A Greek Orthodox priest named Archbishop Damaskinos was asked to deliver a list of names of all 275 Jews in his community by the Nazis. Instead of giving the names of the Jews he burnt the list and gave his own name.
