That is actually where it was written. He just put a frame over it and cut out a piece of the wallpaper

Google says it is a Chinese Money Plant. Pilea peperomioides, the Chinese money plant, UFO plant, pancake plant or missionary plant, is a species of flowering plant in the nettle family Urticaceae, native to Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in southern China.

There's an app for that (identifying plants) - Plantnet I think.

What a coincidence, someone at work asked me what I thought their plant was, and it was this. I used plant net app... I'm not that clever

I believe it's called a money plant- at least that's what my dad used to call it!

Note: butt-ugly floor was probably installed in the 1930s. Then the 70s came along, and somebody added insult to injury by installing Barbie-style pink carpet on top of it. There's oak flooring there now, praises be!

Helped a friend redo a house from 1811. IIRC we found something like 15 layers of wallpaper. The oldest was handstamped blue flowers on white background.

Antlers, they're antlers. Cows, pronghorn antelopes, goats and other animals have horns - they don't fall off but keep growing. Deer, elk, moose etc have antlers and they do fall off at the end of the breeding season. The male has to grow a new set every year.
