Opposite Day
On Opposite Day, chaos ensued as people did the opposite of what they normally do. Night owls woke up early, only to realize that the world wasn't ready for them yet. Early birds stayed up late, but found that their peaceful neighborhoods had turned into raucous party zones. People who normally dress in casual clothes found themselves feeling overdressed in fancy attire, while those who normally dress up felt underdressed and out of place. The gift-giving tradition was turned upside down, as people were surprised to find themselves on the receiving end of presents. The carnivores among us had to struggle through plates of vegan dishes, while the vegans struggled to stomach meat-based meals. The most amusing part of Opposite Day was watching people act out of character. Shy individuals turned into social butterflies, while outgoing folks suddenly became wallflowers. All in all, Opposite Day was a hilarious experiment in stepping out of our comfort zones and embracing the unexpected. But be warned, pranksters took full advantage of the chaos and hilarity that Opposite Day created.
4/20, otherwise known as "F**k it" day. Chosen for the date's cultural meaning, April 20th is a day to ignore your responsibilities and just live in the moment. Many governments around the world are passing legislation to legally protect those who celebrate from retributions.
Cosmos Day. Everyone gets off work. During the day, mandatory cloudwatching. During the night, required(if at all possible) stargazing. Picnics with food shaped and colored like outer space things. Cotton candy is a staple. Meet new friends for life. Ideally, every city is a village with a designated skybeholding field.
"Cosmos Day" (proposed by Skater Chick) is an awe-inspiring and heartwarming holiday idea. People from all over the world coming together to celebrate the wonders of the universe is truly magical. What a beautiful way to disconnect from our screens and connect with nature! Spending time outside and appreciating the natural world is something that we could all benefit from. The celestial-themed potluck, featuring treats like star-shaped cookies and moon pies, is a fun and creative way to bring people together. However, what truly sets Cosmos Day apart is the stargazing and storytelling that follows, providing a moment to contemplate the vastness of the cosmos and the miracle of our existence. Sharing this experience with others can lead to lifelong friendships. Finally, the fireworks display that mimics the colors and patterns of the universe is the perfect ending to the night. I can't wait to celebrate this holiday with my loved ones and share in the joy and wonder of the cosmos.
Underrated Movie Day
There are a couple movies I adore that either don’t have a large fan base because it is just not well known or made by Pixar or Dreamworks.
Or, and this reason is really specific, it was in another language and the American version butchered the translations and added bad music and literally deleted scenes… and it’s underrated cuz most people see the American release and think it’s garbage.
Well on this day people take their favourite underrated movies and show them to the world for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully, they won’t have to be included on that day anymore! :)
In a land not so far away, a group of movie lovers grew tired of the same old blockbusters dominating the silver screen. They craved something different, something special, something underrated. And so, they came up with a holiday unlike any other. They called it Underrated Movie Day, a day to celebrate those hidden gems that most people had never even heard of. On this day, they dressed up as characters from their favorite underrated movies and shared unique storytelling and obscure references. Despite the naysayers who called them hipsters or snobs, they remained undeterred. For they knew that the true joy of UMD was not in being obscure for the sake of it, but in discovering the hidden treasures that the rest of the world had yet to appreciate. And so, they continued to celebrate UMD year after year, sharing their love for the underdogs of cinema with anyone who would listen.For these movie lovers, the greatest stories are the ones that nobody knows about... until now.
