I completely understand. There is a lot of pressure on me to do well in school, which is only intensified by the fact that I am the older child. I'd say that try your best, but don't beat yourself up over getting a bad grade once in a while. It's going to happen, and that's okay. If you know your parents will not at all accept a low grade, just as my parents were once, they need to understand that they have set an unrealistic expectations. No one can have a high score consistently, and if you genuinely struggle with coursework and material, then the bad grades will be a part of it. Now, I'm not saying to let a bad grade be. Talk to your teachers if you can make something up, get extra credit, or even have extra help so you can score better next time. But don't be scared of a bad grade. Try for the best, but don't be exceedingly upset over a number.

Why are there so many school kids on here? Anyway, you can rest assured that by the time you get out of school, your good grades wont matter anymore.

The schools systems where I live have all that stuff online (past/present/future graded assignments, attendance, etc). If that's available where you are, peeking at it might help you out with the fear of not knowing. That wasn't available when I was in school, so I kept a list of grades I'd received in each class to keep a running average for each grading period.
