Hey everyone, how and at what time do you usually wake up? (alarms, on your own, woken by someone else, etc.) How do you start your morning? Thank you.

I set an alarm for 5am then that is my time to wake up and “rest my eyes” (usually end up falling asleep) then that tricks my brain into thinking its later than it is so when I wake up I will feel well rested when its actually 5:30 which is my next alarm for when I actually have to wake up then at 5:30 I lay in bed with the lights on and do something relaxing like read or watch yt then at 6 I get up to walk around and get ready then I get back into bed and just lay there till 7

I put my alarm, I always feel super tired and want to go back to bed, but my older dog comes and snuggles with me and gives me kisses. It feels amazing to be so loved so it helps a lot to wake up. I need to take her and the younger one (still doesn’t sleep with us) for a pee so that pushes me out of bed.

Alarm wakes me up (4 am) then I wake up my munchkins, hop in the shower, get munchkins ready for the day and on the bus (5:45 am.) then spend about an hour drinking coffee, chatting with a neighbour and watching the sun come up. I think the damp hair in the morning chill mixed with caffeine does the trick.

If I’m not getting up fast enough for my cat’s liking, he’ll come, sit on my head and chew my hair while purring ecstatically.

Usually my elderly dog wakes me up. She’ll stomp around the room and howl until I get up.

I sometimes wake up at 2:30 a.m. anticipating a new Spelling Bee (NY Times) that is published at 3 a.m. I do some words, then I go back to sleep and wake up at about 5:30 a.m. to my sun clock whose alarm sounds like birds tweeting. It slowly increases in volume until I wake up.
