Our ego can often get into the way of our honesty, ruining our true happiness as well as relationships with ourselves and other people in out lives. How do you remember to stay honest with yourself and those you hold dear?

It's a difficult question, but there are a few things that work for me: stay humble, don't mix up your expectations with who you really are, and last but not least, remember that there's no definitive answer on who you "really" are.

I'm brutally honest even to myself. At the end of the day I have to live with myself and need to be able to look at myself in the mirror.

This may seem depressing but I just make sure I don’t make friends. Too many times they betray me, or tell me to do something that just isn’t me. I haven’t had friends since 2018. I’m proud of that.

I lift others up. It makes me feel good, and the better I feel the easier it is to let down my fake personalities that I built during my emotional trauma
