I’m looking for a long book series I can get really invested in, longer than trilogies. I miss the feeling of hunting down the next book in the series to fill up the hollow gap created by the previous cliffhanger.

Most manga (Japanese comic series) will do you fine. Usually, manga have between 20 and 40 volumes and many have been turned into anime (usally, one manga = 2-5 anime episodes). The most popular anime are One Piece, Doraemon, Golgo 13, Detective Conan, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk, KochiKame, Demon Slayer, Crayon Shin-Chan, Attack on Titan, Oishinbo, Bleach, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Kingdom, Astro Boy, Baki, Fist of the North Star, Hajime no Ippo, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kindaichi Case Files, My Hero Academia & Touch. However, if you don't like comics I'm outta ideas.
