Hey, I’m from Canada and I’ve been gaming online forever mostly FPS like Overwatch 2, Valorant, or sometimes Apex. But here’s the thing… I literally never run into anyone from the UK anymore? Like not in voice, not in chats, not in random lobbies it’s weird, because a few years ago I swear there were Brits in almost every match.Did everyone just disappear or are UK players hanging out somewhere else now? Maybe y’all are more into console these days? Or is it more of a mobile thing now? I also wonder if stores like GAME are still around or if everything’s fully digital there now. Maybe there are UK-only titles that just aren’t big here, and I’ve totally missed them?Idk, it just feels like I haven’t “heard” a UK gamer in ages and I’m genuinely curious where you all went. 😅 What are you playing now? Hey mate, I’m from the UK and yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing. A few years back you’d always bump into Brits in Overwatch or COD lobbies, loads of banter on mic, but these days it feels way quieter. We haven’t vanished though — I think we’ve just shifted how and where we play. A lot of people moved to console, especially with crossplay, so you might still run into UK players but they’re often in private parties or not using voice at all. Discord’s massive too, most of my gaming happens in small servers with mates now, whether it’s Valorant, Tarkov, or random indie stuff like Lethal Company and Phasmophobia. Mobile gaming’s grown loads here too things like COD Mobile and Clash are just easy to jump into, especially on the go. Even browser-based stuff has its place. I’ve seen people mess around with no-download titles like https://freeslotshub.com/free-slots-no-download-uk when they’re on a break or want something low-effort, and honestly I enjoy jumping into those myself now and then when I’m not in the mood for anything competitive. Same with random strategy sims or stuff like https://www.footballmanager.com which I keep hearing about, it’s still massive over here even though the gameplay is completely silent. I also came across https://www.escapefromtarkov.com recently, seems like loads of hardcore PC players from the UK are into it now. So yeah, we haven’t gone anywhere, just a bit quieter, more into niche games, or hanging out in Discords and private lobbies. The wild voice chat lobbies might not be what they used to, but the community’s definitely still kicking. What platforms or games are you mostly on these days?
