Hey Pandas, Aita For Calling A Kid With No Hair A Bully?

i know, it's a weird question, and one i hoping isn't offensive (i tried to word it in the kindest way possible), but my older sister keeps giving me crap about it and i don't know if i'm being a jerk.

there's a kid who lives near my house, younger than me. the kid, who i'll call tim, doesn't have any hair, not on his head or eyebrows or arms, nothing (i'm trying really hard to be respectful here, sorry if i'm failing). and let me just say, tim is a jerk. he steals other kids' bikes and toys, calls people names, is really disrespectful, and tries to start fistfights often. after tim started one particularly nasty fistfight with one of my friends, i finally lost my patience and told him "hey, please stop being such a bully." i tried to be really respectful.

now, when i confronted my older sister about this, she said "well, you have to be nice to him. he either has cancer or alopecia."

and now i'm torn, because i don't know if i'm being unkind or if i responded properly. i understand tim might just be "taking out his emotions" if he does have cancer or alopecia, but i think there are better ways of doing that than bullying kids.

Just because someone has cancer or alopecia isn’t an excuse for them to be mean. It’s just like how having a mental illness doesn’t give you a free pass to be a jerk and blame it on your condition…actions have consequences! If Tim continues to be offensive, maybe try asking your parents to speak to his parents about his actions, and try to avoid him if you can. Good luck buddy
