About 15 years ago I wanted to find a hobby or two that would occupy my time, was constructive, and would be a creative outlet. I didn’t know how to weld, but I knew a guy that knew a guy that could weld. To make a long story short, someone at work helped me learn the basics of MIG welding. I tried making a couple sculptures, and well, they were crap. I didn’t give up though, If I didn’t like the way something turned out, I tried again. Sometimes I simply had bad ideas, but the times that I was able to create something cool outweighed the failures. I’ve sold most of the art I’ve made in a couple galleries in eastern Oregon. I’ve taken a break from sculptures the last couple years to design and build a couple cars. Here are some of the things I’ve been able to create. I hope my short story and pictures will inspire others to follow whatever passion they have. You can find me on Facebook under Del Loose.
