It's certainly not as uncommon as it may seem, my parents had me at a lot later age (I'm 17, mom is 51) and my living grandparent is in his mid 80's.

I didn't become a grandparent till I was 65. My mother was a grandmother @ age 41, for reference. Yes, it is too old. My DIL doesn't like me, so uses the baby as a punishment, he'll be 2 in July, I haven't seen him since he was 4 months. Very, very sad.

You are curious, well in some it's difficult to tell, At this time, I have the wonderful pleasure, of spending time, with my last, great grandchild, I am in my seventies, we all married young, my great grandson, is three I am Blessed to be of age to enjoy him, one ore two afternoons, per week, since he was born, this way I truly get to watch him grow, and change !!!

Great-grandparents are grandparents. Sometimes we feel left out.

Yes, at 35 in the mall with my newborn son, a Spanish lady asked me how old my grandbaby was. It took a little while to recover from that one - lol. I understand it was a cultural matter. These photos are amazing.

Agree. These have to be Great-Grandies, I had my daughter at 39 and even my folks at late 60s arent this old!
