It doesn't matter if you use a pencil, a crayon, or the tip of your nose to create cool art, it is no small feat to produce something that'll knock everyone's socks off.
Some artists do well with just a few tools; take, for example, Bulgarian illustrator Angel Ganev. Although we are sure he could make beautiful art using a variety of drawing techniques, he often chooses to create amazing pictures using pencils alone.
In the midst of his collection on Instagram, you should be quick to notice a selection of perfect pencil portrait drawings. Their charm lies in the way they stand in stark contrast to the ethereal technique of lighting that makes the pencil drawings appear as though they are glowing.
Each drawing idea is coupled with a unique mood, wherein the glow becomes a feeling of a warm autumn evening with a cup of tea in one pencil sketch and a cool metallic touch of magic in another.
But don't take our word for it, scroll down and see for yourself!

Love this one. The way he uses light to highlight either the smoke from a cigarette or the steam coming off of a cup of hot coffee or tea is really inviting.
There is a a really simple to use photoshop plugin for that. It just creates random flame ish patterns. Just draw 1 stroke. :) https://www.escapemotions.com/products/flamepainter/
Load More Replies...I thought I needed to sustain myself from posting Sailor Moon related comments on this one, but I'm too weak. ♥ Anyway, regardless of Sailor Moon, I like this one.
As long as it's not mean to anyone I think you should post whatever you want! Go nuts! :)
Load More Replies...I feel like this is an illusion. The vibrant colored pencil contrasts the dark and less noticeable pencil, making it seem like it is glowing. That or it's photoshop.
...yes the whole point is that it's only pencil on paper ✨ " Their charm lies in the way they stand in stark contrast to the ethereal technique of lighting that makes the drawings appear as though they are glowing."
Load More Replies...I feel like these have to be made with some kind of glow-in-the-dark ink
You can't just respond on one. These are all gorgeous drawings, with so much emotion. The light adds extra beauty!! Love them!!
There's a video game about a sexy witch that wears glasses! It's one of her trademarks, her glasses! I'd post a picture, but I don't know how to. It's Bayonetta (NSFW warning if you google)
Load More Replies...you're right :) thanks for this. She does have a sad and tired expression, but the yellowish glowing makes it faithful.

The light should be all Front, as if she she takes a bath in dawn's first sunlight.
Word to the wise - don't say "should" on a subjective piece of work, if you want it done that way, draw it yourself.
Load More Replies...I enjoyed the whole gallery (which rarely hapopens). Those are "simple" drawings, but by adding that light they turn into something magical. Loved every picture.
These WERE NOT made with pencil alone don't be fooled by the description of the article, The colors and lighting are added digitally. It's the most flagrant on photo #3, the steam is from a brush pack called Smoke brush and the textures of the brush for the colors are to sharp to have been made with a pencil . (Fake news) Nice art tho
While the art itself is quite pretty, I hate that boredpanda makes a big deal out of it. I've seen several artist doing that and - I'm sorry, but that 'pretty glow effect' is not accomplished with pencils but with a computer/tablet and drawing software :'D His other artwork on IG would have been much cooler to look at.
I Have been a fan of Angel's Art for a long time, All of his female sketches are Beautifully done with a lot of Class. And I always look forward to seeing his next Art post..
