Terrifying 4,600ft Glass Walkway Opens In China, And Just Looking At The Pics Will Give You Vertigo
If you’re scared of heights then you might want to look away now, because this walkway in China is your worst nightmare come true. The fact that it’s attached 4,600ft (1,403 metres) up the side of a mountain is scary enough, but the fact that it’s also made of glass is nothing short of terrifying.
Situated on the side of Tianmen mountain in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Hunan Province, the walkway is 328ft (100 metres) long and 5.2ft (1.6 metres) wide. It’s known as the Coiling Dragon Cliff skywalk, and as you can see, it certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted, but anybody who finds the courage to brave the walkway will be rewarded with an utterly breathtaking view that few will ever experience. The park is actually home to three glass walkways including a 1,410ft (430 metre) glass bridge suspended 590ft (180 metres) above the ground, so if you’re looking for adventure, or just an extreme selfie, then you know where to go.

Share on FacebookSo much nope :P Wouldn't even care if the walkways and bridge could hold a bulldozer without breaking, I would never get on or cross them anyway :P Already have fear of heights and being able to look through the glass wouldn't really help.
Same here. i don't care if the glass is bulletproof, antibomb, made of transparent titanium... not going there, unless you want to carry me all the way while i'm in fetal position :(
Load More Replies...The way Chinese build things, no way, not to mention a piece of that rock looks like it's about to flake off. I see rust even so no thanks. I doubt this follows any building code either.
Excuse me...I've seen enough. I'm going to go hide now. (WO WO WO WO WO WO WO)

would'nt walk on that, not for a thousand years! NO! would not, will not, No!!!! ....... hihihihi ! :) ;) :p
The glass doesn't bother me, I'd be more concerned about how secure those supports were.
I’d love to walk on a bridge made of glass attached to the side of a rock 4,600 feet in the air said me NEVER
Have walked on the Skywalk in West Grand Canyon and would Love to take this walk also! Would it be Scary, YES, BUT what a Thrill Experience and also what a Story we would have to relate!
What's to top someone from jumping? Even the Empire State Building has structural precautions for that.
Excuse me...I've seen enough. I'm going to go hide now. (WO WO WO WO WO WO WO...)
all these photos and not a single one from the bridge itself looking down through the floor?!
Please use SI units (for height that would be metric) in any official postings. This makes life much easier. If in doubt, just add local or read-prefered non-SI units in brackets...just as you did with the walkway length.
we don't use the metric system in the USA. so it is really nice that they put in both systems/measurements.
