I don't want to get married or have a wedding at all, but I absolutely LOVE me a good wedding dress. They're so pretty, I used to love watching Say Yes to the Dress and drawing dresses of my own. I want to go to try on wedding dresses someday even if I'm probably never going to get married myself (If I did, I'd wear one of those dress/suit combos, they're so cute. (Look up "luz's grom outfit" for a similar concept. Longer skirt, but something like that).

Take her to a library or a Barnes and Noble. Actually, that's a very cute idea. Spend the money you'd spend on movie tickets and snacks on a bookshop date and coffee. Book taste could be a very good way to get to know each other.

I totally relate to this because I was forced into getting my driver's license when I was 17 and hated driving until my mid thirties, but now I actually enjoy the process in spite of it still being a little stressful for me.

OP should pause and consider the vibes leeching out of the adolescent offspring us moms are sharing our atmosphere with. With a 15-year-old son, sometimes it feels as though I am drowning in testosterone and angst, rank sweat overlayed with excessive Irish Spring or Old Spice (thank goodness I banned Axe/Lynx from our premises), foolish bravado and insecurity in equal measure, with a soundtrack straight out of a Minecraft animation video. And the shoes, don't even ask about the aroma of the shoes! Adolescence is overwhelming for everyone in its orbit, not just the actual teen. If I seem to be oozing a little poison every now and then, I'm really just trying to clear a wee bit of mental and sensory space where I can breathe, think, exist, where I am me and not just mom.
