Raku Inoue is a photographer, artist, and sculptor who creates stunningly realistic animal sculptures out of flower petals and other natural materials.

His works are so lifelike that people often mistake them for the real thing—and no wonder! He’s taken inspiration from his own garden to create these amazing works, which are sure to make you feel like you’re in the wilds of Africa or Asia.

Inoue recommends starting with a simple form. For example, he used the petals from water lilies to make the eye of an owl. He has created his own language for the business of art, which involves “sculptures” that are made from flowers and other natural materials.

Inoue has been working on his latest series, “Natura Safari,” which is inspired by the animals he sees in his daily life. Inoue began taking photographs of his works in his garden and posting them online; now people send him flowers from all over the world!
