Whenever I take photographs, my #1 rule is to avoid taking the same picture as anyone else. Every year at Boston’s July 4th celebrations, I see a bunch of people lug their huge tripods and lenses around, only to get what are (mostly) quite similar pictures. So, I decided I’d do something different, and went every single year with no tripods at all. All images are Creative Commons CC-BY-SA and original size images are available on my website.
