During the last 15 years, French-Canadian artist Steven Spazuk (previously here and here ) has perfected a technique called fumage which allows him to create jaw-dropping paintings using flame instead of pencils. “The main challenge of painting with fire is preservation of the work,” the artist explained. “The soot is fragile and sensitive to touch. This is so amazing. While it looks dangerous, and I imagine it is, the intensity and passion that goes into the art makes it amazing.
Amazing! I'm truly impressed by this man's ability to draw such precision from something so wild and uncontrollable as fire.
I definitely never would of thought that different sized candles would make different shades on the paper...Kudos to you for creating such masterpieces
