Father’s day is around the corner. This year in the United States of America we will be celebrating it on June 17th. I wanted to make a photo series to honor great dads, fathers that are involved in their children’s lives. With the help of my husband, my friends, and neighbors I was able to create this project just in time for Father’s day.
Now that I am a mother myself, I watch my husband, my friends’ husbands, see how they interact with their children. I catch myself comparing them with my own father. It’s funny how different they all are but at the end they love their children unconditionally.
I tried to show as many different types of dads as I could possibly think of and give a funny twist to it. Maybe you can relate to some of them too. Enjoy.

Nah, relaxation. They're all behaving & quiet hehehe
Load More Replies...The most attractive thing in the world to me is seeing a man being a good father. It’s the sign of a real man.
My dad used to lay on the floor in out kids room, fall asleep and let us play doctors with him. He was patient and my and siszer were doctors :) he spend time with his kids and get some rest at once. One of my best memories :)
Instantly attracted to him (mainly because he is allowing his kids to do what they're doing as well as he's good looking)
The dad wearing blue is BY FAR having the most fun in this photo!! The sweet little girl is super adorable!!!!! I’d love to hear the conversation that went on when this photo was being taken. Beautiful photography!! I LOVE it!
Excellent, we need more men to take a proactive role in their daughter's lives.
Your last name is unusual! I have an Anna Lnu in my family tree! Wonder if we are related , as the name is not commonly seen!
Load More Replies...I really can't believe the people who are trying to shame this dad for playing while feeding his baby. You all act like this one picture represents every feeding he gives his child, come on! If you have children and you tell me you have never done anything else while feeding them I call bull. To be honest that kid looks big enough to hold his own bottle and at that point a lot of people won't even do what he is doing! Other people won't even wait until that point and will prop up the bottle so don't judge this guy on one picture! Some dads won't feed their children at all
I did this with my second child. It was the only way I could play Halo and COD:MW.
Yep, totally rule number one. I understand it's important but really..
Load More Replies...Or...you know, let the parents decide when is the right time to make any changes in their children's routine...? Because everyone is different...?
Load More Replies...What a beautiful moment captured between a little girl and her father!! This photo is wonderful!!!!
I love the the look of accomplishment on the little darling's sweet face! This should be framed!
Give a girl a fish she eats for a evening. Teach her to fish, she eats for her whole life.
Many people wear hats for reasons other than for the outdoors. For some people it's just a style thing and really nothing more.
Load More Replies...Yes, just what I need! A phishing bot that has nothing to do with and is totally unrelated to the picture and topic above!
Load More Replies...How funny to find this guy again here...
Load More Replies...Most of this boy’s face is hidden from view, yet you can still see how very happy he is to be playing with his dad!!! Awesome!!
Why is it that a man changing a diaper is seen as "special" in some way? He's a PARENT, fercryinoutloud! That's what parents do.
Why are you so negative? Who said hes special? Read the article again ;)
Load More Replies...I probably did this a thousand times at least. You just .... do it. Anywhere, any time. Never felt special, just felt the love. & sometimes the fatigue.
i imagine this is actually quite relaxing. it always made me sleepy when my niece would brush my hair when she was a little one.
I used to bribe my daughter to brush my hair. It makes me fall asleep.
Load More Replies...I SWEAR these 2 are going to be the BEST fathers of the CENTUARY!
Total trust. Safety. Everything as it should be. I recall this in my dad ... until it turned to s**t.
WHat do you mean it turned to s**t? Did he change or?
Load More Replies...He saw hos back and said my back is dirty 😂
Load More Replies...I changed both my daughters first diapers, and many more after that. It's not too hard. :-)
When our oldest had to have his diaper changed for the first time, I got poop all over my hands AND put the diaper on backwards. :-D Learned from my mistakes and now I can change poopy diapers while running a marathon while at the same time solving difficult math problems and also cooking a three course meal. Dad's who don't change diapers "because of not manly or guys don't do that" should rethink their life choices and step up a notch!
When I changed my first nappy it reminded me of 'The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole'... "Saturday November 27th Changed my first nappy tonight. Tomorrow I am going to try doing it with my eyes open."
If you change diapers from DAY 1 you will not gag. Seriously. People think I b******t when I say this. No, I don't.
Well to sit still while im taking a picture ;)
Load More Replies...To keep them on the toilet so they go, even on the toilet, their attention span at this age is not long!
REAL and such a perfect picture of everyday life. Kudos to this cool family!
OB - As the child of a gay parent, let me assure you. This IS normal! I have the most wonderful memories of my childhood with both my dad, my mum & their SOs. Compared to the childhoods of some of the kids I went to school with it was magical. Who my Dad chooses to love and enjoy his life with has had absolutely no negative impacts on my life because they are wonderful caring, selfless people. Even though I lived with Dad growing up, I saw my Mum and stayed at her place when ever I wanted to. I went to school with kids from "broken homes" who didnt get to spend time with either of their straight parents nearly as much as I got to spend time with my Mum despite living with my Dad. In highschool when my best friend whose strict religious parents kicked her out because of the music she liked and the posters she put on her bedroom wall, it was my Dad who let her stay in the spare bed I had in my bedroom and made sure there was always a seat for her at our dinner table, took us to school and listened what we thought about the world around us regardless of whether or not he understood it, like a parent should. He never made a big deal about it or ever asked for compensation for the extra mouth he was feeding. If every parent cared for their children like my Dad did for me and my brothers, or like the Dads in this picture clearly do, there would be alot less children in the world who need homes because the parents they do have, had the ability to create a life but not to care and love unconditionally. A person's sexuality has no effect on their ability to be good parent ...you moron.
I have never cared who a person loved. I've always cared how a person lived. You had a magical childhood and it's all because of wonderful parents (all three [four?] of them!) :) My husband and I tried very hard to give our kids a magical childhood as well. We did (basically) the same thing as your dad...took in our kids' friend when he had no where to go. We call him our third son and love him no different than our kids. I'll never understand why people can't see a great person (like your dad) and care about what he does instead of who he does. Makes no sense to me. I would much rather have people like your dad in my life than people who are bigots and @$$hats. Kudos to your family! I love this picture because they aren't gay dads, or straight dads, they are GREAT dads!
Load More Replies...I enjoy their pictures but the title is different types of dads and these guys have several pictures on board. Mix it up some more instead of using the same ones
Beautifully said, Braineating Spleen! If they let gay couples adopt, and quit thinking it would damage a child to have gay parents, more children would have loving families! What they really mean is, WE, don’t want gay parents adopting straight kids! Dirt bags! Every last one of these turds that think like this!
Most likely a sweet, well educated girl with properly intelligence, both IQ wise and EQ wise, though with severe issues when it comes to freely hating people
Load More Replies...Really important job here; total focus. Too many men are disconnected from children and parenting, our culture prescribes it. Let's turn it around.
They are! Sadly they'll end up hating them for a good portion of their life and spend hours upon hours trying to straighten them out. Such is the weirdness of being human.
Load More Replies...Mine does but he lets Mom do all the cooking and complains about it. Go figure. XD
Load More Replies...Notice the photos on the wall. What is important here? What gets celebrated? remembered?
What do you want to bet those kids ended up crawling all over Daddy the sleeping giant?
gOT TO LET KIDS BE KIDS. hE LOOKS RELAXED AND KIDS ARE NOT IN REAL SERIOUS DANGER. CANNOT PROTECT THEM 24/7. LET THEM GORW UP. ITS ABOUT LEARNING AND GROWING.
so agree with you. people got so crazy these days... kids don't need bubble wrap protection. let them experience and discover their limit
Load More Replies...This is the Dad getting his hair and makeup done. He deserves that beer!
That's my fam right there. If you're not bleeding, you're ok.
Now i need a beer ...looks like w 4 I'd need more than one! I'm quite sure he's checking on them..he's right there :)
Well, I think it's a moment reached where "I don't care, it's crazy, I need a break!"
Holy s**t people! Why cant people just enjoy cute funny pictures of dads spending time with their kids?!? There's always someone who has to pick it apart...
It's not that Sarah, it's the face that others have to "celebrate" dad's spending time with their kids when it's a normal act of parenting. We all know it should be a shared act with mum and not thought of as AWESOME. Oh look he's taken the kids to the playground...ohhhhhhh.
Load More Replies...Good work, good photos, good themes. I don'think it's about "Ooo, wow! Look - an man changing a diaper, isn't he awesome!...!" It is simply photo-journalism, acknowledging what has always been going on. These help to 'normalize' men as regular parents managing perfectly well (against the ghastly stereotypes out there), and it's an important job! Everyone needs a father, not a stranger in a suit who comes home exhausted / smelling of booze - and remains disengaged. So yeah: Bring on fatherhood as a regular thing, done well, with focus and love. Makes for a better world. Thx, Giedre!
I'm not sure why, but the greyscale photos were the best in my opinion. Especially the ones of daughter and father fishing + the dad smelling poop :D AS for dads themselves I think I liked the most two dads and a fairy girl - you can tell they really like to spend time with her and find her the most precious person in the world. Heartwarming!
Hahaha. love looking through these photos, can't help but smile and laugh out loud. Good photos.
How could anyone think that there is more to life than this. I can't imagine doing anything better.
stop the propaganda of homos retards...its un fking natural two dudes owning a daughter
