This Family Just Threw A Quinceañera Party For Their 15-Year-Old Cat To Celebrate Her Birthday
Luna the cat has spent 15 wonderful years with the Olavarria’s family, so to celebrate it, her humans decided to throw her a quinceañera. It’s a cultural tradition and rite of passage that marks a girl’s 15th birthday – this time, with a meowy touch to it.
The family found the kitty wandering on the side of the road when she was just 3 weeks old. “We have spoiled her with abundant love and she has outlived all of our pets. On her 15th birthday we decided to give our little cheese ball a surprise quinceañera,” Angel Olavarria, Luna’s brother, told The Dodo.
Everything a proper quinceañera should have was there – think lots of food, decorations, cake, balloons, and so on. Oh, and Luna even had a perfect little outfit like every other 15-year-old girl would.
“My mom found the dress on Amazon,” Olavarria said. “I totally thought my mom was joking when she said she was going to order a dress for her, but my mom never jokes about our pets.”
The celebration was attended by 12 members of family and friends and continued for 3 hours. “She was such a good sport through the whole thing that we think she actually knew we were celebrating her,” Olavarria said “She loved it even more when we opened up a nice can of tuna for her.”

This is A Wonderful, Loving and Sweet Story. Their pet cat have given them 15 years of companionship, laughs, and good times. She's a member of the Family. This is a Loving Gesture and will be a Great Memory of Her Life, one day. Nice.

That's extremely nice and cute! This is a sweet story. Did anyone else come to her quinceanera? Like more of her fellow cats? In the last photo she looks like she wants to pounce on the cake and eat it all. ;D

My cat is 20 years old today !! Asleep in his basket at the moment, but no doubt will go outside for a wander in a little while and try to get extra treats from the neighbours :) The closest we've got to dressing him up is making a "hat" of loose combed cat fur from our 18 year old cat... he wasn't too impressed! Luna looks like she enjoyed her party xx
