This revealing photo-series compares models wearing Victoria’s Secret swimsuits and everyday women working for BuzzFeed. The shoot took place on a beach in Malibu where each woman tried to re-create the pose and look of the original Victoria’s Secret shot. Although there was ample opportunity to feel self-conscious, the experience yielded some insightful commentary.
One woman reflected, “I think everyone should get photographed on the beach in a bathing suit at some point in their life…it is a really fun experience that kind of helps you to get over any insecurities.” Another shared a similar sentiment: ”We may not all be models, but the world is a runway for ALL of us.”

“It’s really hard to be objective about your own body — so when someone says something nice about you, you should believe them”
Nina
“Don’t compare yourself to the model. Very few of us are the model”
Sheridan
“You don’t have to look like Behati to wear a swimsuit. Do what makes you happy and you’ll be OK in the end”
Lara
“We may not all be models, but the world is a runway for ALL of us”

“Having airbrushed skin and zero fat doesn’t make you beautiful, having confidence and radiating that confidence makes you beautiful — ‘flaws’ and all”

Share on FacebookThe normal women wearinh these suits are rocking them. In most cases liik better than the "model that VSused. You women are beautiful!
I agree, Christy! They actually look truly gorgeous, a lot better than I would wearing them!! And it's not about making myself feel better about my body, it's about knowing that those photographs haven't been airbrushed and still look amazing.
Load More Replies...I loved it! I think they look beautiful with those swimsuits. Thanks for showing the rest of us that we are not the model, but we can look and feel as beautiful and sexy. Keep it up girls!
My fav is Alison. Because shes most like me. Its nice to see an article about 'every day women' that includes 'athletic slim build' for a change rather than what the world deems as 'curvy'
I'll give you slim, but let's not get ahead of ourselves with the athletic part.
Load More Replies...Yeah, and the reason is flawed, because those models are the 1% of women...The rest of us find it unappealing and is the main and top reason why every single woman alive has a body image shaming issue!!
Load More Replies...even though the normal girls seem to be doing the same pose as the model, in fact they are not posing the same as the models. I'm a x model and trained dancer I can easily spot the differences, and those differences make a BIG difference in the finished photo. All those "normal" girls could look much hotter with adjustments to how there posing, plus lighting and make up. A few of those women could easily look like Victoria secrets models, and the others could easily be hot normal or plus size models. I wish I could have been at the photo shoot. This article could have another layer to it, by showing the same photo's, plus the same girls made up and posing exactly like real models pose. (which can sometimes be uncomfortable)
People are so negative it makes an "attractive" person ugly. You go girls confidence is everything
I think the shots of the real girls actually looked way prettier and less plasticy in a lot of areas. I really don't understand why we feel the need to retouch photos so heavily..... It actually makes me want to try on the suits more when I see what they look like on someone closer to my body type.
