Philippa Rice is a multi-talented artist who creates simple but beautiful comics about the everyday joys of living with someone you love. The title of her comic book, Soppy, is unapologetically fitting!
Rice forgoes the usual stuff like hearts and roses, going instead for the everyday ways we share love with our significant others – be it our morning routines, a hug and a snuggle, or finishing the day in each others’ arms. If you love these pictures as much as we do, be sure to check out Puuung’s illustrations as well!

Sometimes, love can be found in the simplest things, like spending a blissful morning in the kitchen
You can be in the same room without having to do everything together
It is hugging each other accidentally while sleeping
Even the most mundane tasks are more fun when you do them together
Even shopping for food can be exciting
True love means putting everything aside just to hug
The biggest dilemma is often what to eat for dinner
Even if you’re feeling a bit blue, there’s always someone that will hold your hand
Love is about the little things
Happiness is when both of you read in bed after an exceptionally tiring day
Building IKEA furniture is like playing with LEGO when it’s just the two of you
Sometimes, you have to ask hard questions
Cooking together often becomes the most challenging and the most fun task
Even the tiniest problems matter to your loved one
It’s having those long talks in bed about everything and anything
It’s when you know your favorite cuddling positions
It’s having a favorite cafe, where only you two matter
The cold autumn wind can’t touch you because your heart always stays warm
Love means knowing when you need to say sorry
There is nothing more comfortable than falling asleep on your loved one’s lap
It is about exploring new things, even if it’s just your neighborhood park
It’s knowing that it’s not always rainbows and butterflies, it’s compromise that moves us along
As long as both of you are headed the same way…
…Everything will be just fine

Clearly this person has never actually assembled Ikea furniture with someone.
Actually my ex and I once assembled Ikea furniture together. That went okay. It was very much fun actually. Ikea is peanuts. Just follow the instrunctions and it's childs play. Assembling Ikea furniture was the only fun and good thing in our short lived marriage. :/
(sorry for the unrelated question) is your name pronounced "iv-anna"?
agreed.. it should read "not killing each other when assembling ikea furniture together" Same goes for laminate flooring. I am very proud of the fact that not only did I not kill him while doing the flooring, but our marriage survived intact as well.....
Can't agree more!!!
...ummmm, yeah! So true. IKEA furniture should only be assembled with bullet proof vests on and a whole lot of alcohol at the ready...and should end with nothing getting done and a whole lot of sex. At least that's how we assemble furniture.
so true
My worst fight with my hubby was putting together an Ikea table. Complete meltdown, calling each other moron, etc. Of course, we laugh like hell about it now!
Honestly these are like the exact romance fantasies of mine hHahaha
<3 it's funny how the girl takes what see wants :P (pizza, bed side, pyjamas)
Who switches bed sides? No one ever! She was just claiming what was already hers. :D
But what if you are both used to sleep on the left side and you sleep over for the first time?
I just can't switch bed sides... feels like it's not my bed and even our cats have their spots
We are switching beds sometimes because we have different mattress, so we sometimes need to sleep on harder or softer bed :) And sometimes If he isn't at home Im sleeping in his side because it smells like him (crazy i know :) )
I do! LOL.
