Emilia Clarke Tries Her Hand At Stock Photography, And The Result Is So Funny The Internet Wants Her To Star In ‘The Office’
We covered some truly classic examples of funny stock photos recently, and it turns out that it isn’t only us that loves to poke fun at the weird and wonderful genre. Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has shown that she can do comedy as well as her more dramatic roles, making a hilariously deadpan video for Vanity Fair about her “true calling” of creating the professional stock photos.
Channeling her inner David Brent (boss in the superior UK version of The Office) the skit manages to gloriously mock the funny photos, as well letting the Game of Thrones actress make fun of herself. “I’m taking a method approach,” she says about her foray into acting for the pictures. “I mean Daniel Day-Lewis; he can learn something from me in this.”
Some people not familiar with the “mockumentary” style have seen the satire fly straight over their heads and are completely confused by the randomness of the video. However, we believe that if there ever comes a day when The Office gets a remake, Emilia should be a shoo-in for the lead role! Oh, I do love a celebrity that can completely and utterly take the p**s out of themselves and a particular sector of industry at the same time. I'll never look at stock photos the same way ever, ever again and I'm going to start carrying around a sharpie. Thank you Emilia for this life-changing video.

I love her, she can be herself and that's what matters. Her expressions may be exaggerated but that is the point.

OKAY! Emilia Clarke is the most amazingly real actress of our time! No pretense, no faking, no fear of looking funny, not typically sexy and pretty, like Hollywood has been trying to imply to every damn woman for decades! Whenever I am doing a presentation, I sure as hell will use these photos! <3
