Do dogs dream of flying? Cats most certainly do – the sky is full of crunchy snacks – but what's in it for a dog? Nevertheless, Claudio Piccoli takes pictures of flying dogs. Or dogs that jumped real high in pursuit of frisbees. Late at night, you can hear whispers in the kennels telling the story of Ruffian, a terrier that jumped so high he went into space…
Piccoli's subjects are probably in no such danger, but they're sure trying (and, sometimes, failing)! Piccoli is a photographer from Italy and he likes, nay, loves taking pictures of dogs in action. “Every photo must tell me something strong and i hope you will find some of my shots interesting...” the artist wrote on 500px. “I wish you could read something in my photos… in the dog's eyes!”

While looking at these pictures, I couldn't help contemplating .... How necessary was it to put 'Dogs Can Fly' as a title for every single photo?
Love to add a photo to this but for some reason I can't. It shows it is open for new photos.
So many of these furbabies look like our Border/Aussie but they have tails. She LOVES to jump high for her soft Frisbee.
Great photos! I wish I had had a camera when some of my dogs did incredible things, like the large mongrel who did a complete backwards somersault, catching a tennis ball, then landing squarely on his feet. My giant poodle has also done this. But I'm always worried that they injure themselves. Dogs are not cats!
Great photos - however, I learned the hard way how dangerous jumping like this is for dog's joints - Border collie who could do all these 'tricks' in the air, required surgery on both shoulder when he was about 10 - make sure dog lands on ground with all four feet.
