My name is Elke Vogelsang aka Wieselblitz, I’m a commercial and editorial photographer from Germany. After a very stressful time in life, I decided to change my life for the better and become a professional photographer. I’m absolutely crazy about dogs. Thankfully, as a photographer specializing in dog portraiture, I'm now in the very lucky position to make a living from hanging out with dogs. A dream come true.
It never ceases to amaze me how unique every single dog is. Each and every one of them has its very special character, quirks, and personality. I try to portrait this in my pictures.
You might have come across my series of skeptical dogs, questioning the photographer's sanity. The series "Dogsonality" is an extension to this series adding numerous other facial expressions and moods a dog might show or we might interpret as such.
It's an ongoing project, so stay tuned for more as I never tire exploring the quirkiness and cuteness of our best friends. Enjoy!

Well, he is a dachshund... what do you expect?
Yes, that might also be a good description. But he also ignored everything I tried to motivate him to look into my camera. Funny guy.

And now I remember that I even have a dog named Panda in my picture archives. Should have added him, too, as he's a real character. :-)
Oh, what a beauty. Thanks for sharing!

Would so love to have a Corgi in my studio. I once photographed a super cute corgi mix. Will see if I can invite her to my studio again.
Load More Replies...Cutes. Love that you chose to include a couple of the most stereotyped breeds in their typical glory.
Such a talented and compassionate man. We need more like him <3
Love the photos! I am definitely the kind of person who sees the "beware of dog" signs and immediately says "where?!" The artist definitely captured the personalities of these dogs; and their eyes speak volumes! <3
It's a hard thing to get the joy out of a pet photo, but this person has done it. Well done!
Sad the post came to an end. Always wonderful to see pictures of dogs. And this certainly were lovely pictures!
