I'd been in an intense class for a year and had really come to know and love my classmates. We were getting close to the end of the class and would likely not see each other again. I wanted to give them each something special. I explained that I was an artist and that I'd draw anything (well, within reason! No nudes, no violence, etc.) they'd like and laminate it as a bookmark for each of them. One person submitted "a dog and a dolphin." How did I fit that on a skinny piece of Bristol board? The fun way!! And yes, this is my own drawing, although I copied the dog (only) from a Google photo. I signed the back of each bookmark.
