When you think of Disney, you always imagine those beautiful, deeply emotional fairy tales where everyone always lives “happily ever after”. Well, this Mexican visual artist José Rodolfo Loaiza Ontiveros has just destroyed it for us. Specializing in pop culture, Rodolfo measures his viewer’s tolerance levels by putting our beloved characters in unorthodox context and showing them in dark, tough situations to explore the general theme of “loss of innocence.”
Creating such kind of artworks, Rodolfo "wants to raise the issue of what would happen with our classic characters if they were flesh and blood and were confronted by a frenetic and excessive world of fame, how many of them would prove to be susceptible to the excesses of drugs, alcohol, harassment or vanity?" Using his sharp black humour, the artist "captures images, once morbidly circulated by the media, and proposes a novel way of looking at them," states his website. "In his work the legendary heterosexual happy endings have been deemed outdated and have lost their exclusivity. The disenfranchised will finally encounter an ending they’ve yearned for, beyond any bias or phobia.” Scroll down to see them for yourself.

Not exactly. The artist knows how MANY people around the world have a problem with homosexuality and, byy depicting the male princes as gay and having "normal" lives (getting married, having kids, having fun), he know those intolerant people will feel their feathers ruffled. For so, so many people, being gay AND not hiding it is a crime worse than doing drugs, and I'm not pulling it out of my a*s, believe me.

Hahaha this is definitely my kitten Freyja. She is so sweet and delicate, but every now and then she'll get a feral streak and attack! I was cutting chicken the other day and she smelled it and went crazy begging for some, so I took a little piece to give to her and she went bonkers and attacked my hand. Unable to manage her excitement, lol.

I imagine Rapunzel helping Elsa with her hair -- doing it with flowers etc in summer. Then in winter Elsa makes her a lovely headpiece and does her hair with unmelting snow flakes. And then of course Olaf finds his way into the flowers and ends up covered with them. And then Elsa, Anna, and Rapunzel all end up playing video games together or something. (Sorry, that came out much longer than I intended it to.)

I had Alice in Wonderland Syndrome... no drugs that I can replicate it as far as I know. It’s interesting at first, but it is pretty debilitating when living with it. I don’t think coke would even hold a candle to it.

It doesn't make sense. Mary agreed (gave her consent, it is clear in the Bible) to being pregnant. Why would she (here as Disney character) looked horrified at pregnancy test? She knew she is pregnant weeks before any pregnancy test could confirm it. It just doesn't make sense as joke.

unfortunately the ones that use steroids to bulk up do not see it as self harming. I think the responsibility falls on those of us who understand the dangers of using steroids for muscle gain to talk to those who use it. We are the ones that need to educate them!

I get the impression that the artist has serious issues with women. Just about all of the illustrations depicting women were much more violent that the ones with the men. Using Domestic Violence and Suicide at least 3x speaks so much hostility! I think someone really needs to see a therapist before his illustrations become reality!

It find these images are pretty much just as Ben Smith mentioned: just made to 'make a scene', shock value and completely irrelevant to the characters, Disney. Nothing 'modern times.' The thing this timeline in history loves to plaster on their artworks, media, news, etc is the word 'controversial.' ..I've seen plenty of these titled controversial - when they should simply be called what they actually are: "C**p" and 'a waste of my time.'
