I painted this picture while my father was dying of Alzheimer’s disease in 2004. I tried to express how a person’s memory is slowly erased by this horrible disease, and the feelings of hopelessness and loss (both for himself and his family) at seeing a wonderful and talented man fade away.

This is very beautiful and I too am very sorry about your Father. I lost my Daddy when I was 26 years old, he was only 48 years old.
