Daring Images Encourage Women To Love Their Own Bodies
Lithuanian photographer Neringa Rekašiūtė, journalist Beata Tiškevič and communication specialist Modesta Kairytė invited Lithuanian women to take off their clothes and face themselves in front of the mirror for their WE.WOMEN photoshoot, which was shot as a manifesto against the irrational body standards promoted by mass media.
For the photoshoot, 12 women were invited to pose in just their underwear. Each woman has a heart-melting story hidden behind her image: “Our models have experienced a variety of poor body image problems: anorexia, bulimia, breast cancer, vitiligo, depression, fat-shaming, skinny-shaming… It is as diverse as we could get for this one project,” says Neringa.

“The success of our project gives us a lot of courage and determination to keep on going.”
